Little kid asks Astros GM Jeff Luhnow not to trade George Springer in adorable letter
Just a few days after a young San Francisco Giants fan penned a letter to the team’s general manager asking him to sign Mark Melancon—a wish that eventually came true—another fan has gained the attention of a major-league executive.
A little kid wrote Astros general manager Jeff Luhnow an adorable letter, asking him not to trade outfielder George Springer for three good reasons. He’s a real clubhouse guy, the kid likes him, and the kid likes his hair. I’m sold.
Kids are beginning to realize they hold a world of power over these GMs. Only a matter of time before a seven-year-old becomes the next Theo Epstein.
