Draconids Meteor Shower to Shoot Through Your Friday Sky

Meteor Shower In Friday Sky, Thats tonight.

Draco the Dragon is bound to shoot fireballs in the sky and this is something that you would definitely not want to miss out.

You can end your work week perfectly with your Friday made more special than the usual partying in the bar. Instead, this is the perfect time to head outside to check out the yearly Draconid meteor shower which will peak this year on October 7 to 8.

Most of the time, if you want to catch up on the latest crop of shooting stars, you have to stay up way past midnight or get up before dawn for you to witness an optimal view. However, the Draconids are unique in such a way that this is a rare meteor shower which can be best observed between sunset and midnight once Draco the dragon constellation, which is where meteors seem to originate from, is highest in the evening sky.

After dusk, Northern Hemisphere will enjoy the most favorable view. The Draconids are not expected to produce many meteors as compared with other showers, yet, in the past few years, such as in 2011, the fireballs of the dragon have heated up, letting it produce hundreds of slow moving shooting stars on an hourly basis. This kind of drama is not predicted this year 2016 but there is simply no sure means of predicting the intensity of a meteor shower, so there is always the chance of witnessing a great show.
