Emmy Awards 2016: The Entire List of Winners

Emmy Awards 2016: The Entire List of Winners

One thing is for sure: Although the almost 3-hour ceremony hops from network to network each year, Kimmel must be judged as a semi-permanent presenter the way Amy Poehler and Tina Fey were and Ricky Gervais is for the Globe Globes. Quick on his feet, hitting his shows with obvious excitement and also offering food, the present-two-time Emmys presenter introduced the buzz and bite which Andy Samberg’s stint previous year on Fox really lacked – or as my partner Mike Fleming Jr. observed of Kimmel: “Why hasn’t he compered the Oscars up till now?”

To make a long story short, recommending a network star when it’s your year makes branding sense, however for a great show you should have an expert who understands how to keep the atmosphere lively day after day and week after week to keep the audience outside and inside the Microsoft Theater entertained and interested. Tonight he did that, bringing up his game from when he initially compered in 2012 with a well packed aerodynamic show around him.

On a night Kimmel did take some support on Sunday Night Football on NBC. That truth is, after a previous year’s low ratings, the greatest night yearly on television had to get some real muscle to the pitch to show it was in the game; as everybody but The Walking Dead will inform you, trying to challenge the NFL is pretty much a losing proposal. Although the Emmys executive produced by Juliane Hare, Charlie Haykel and Don Mischer,  hit the ground, and also the road, running.
