Hurricane Matthew has increased the changes of Haiti being affected by a famine. Soon after the hurricane, roads were filled with twisted flags, uprooted trees and torn roofs. So many schools, shops and buildings were crushed by the mighty hurricane. Miles after miles you will come across repeated traces of devastation. One would want the intensity to decrease. Unfortunately, you will only see intense devastation in different parts of Haiti. The storm scorched leaves from the trees and palms have become completely black. Everything stands in Haiti frozen! As far as the eye could examine, you will see destruction. Indeed, the hurricane has left behind lots of suffering and pain.

Locals, Homes and Famines

According to reviews, Hurricane Matthew has caused a catastrophic impact on Haiti. The Caribbean island has lost its shine and ability to grow. There are fears of cholera epidemic in the region. And, aid is delivered to the region very slowly. This is why all hopes in Haiti are fading away. The storm may have surfaced and sunk into the sea slowly. Yet, its destruction is not going to be resolved soon. Haiti is no longer an agriculturally rich island. Workers and farmers say that the place looks like a war zone! Locals are desperate for shelter, food, medicines and water. It is sad that people have lost their homes and live on the streets. Most of them have lost it all!

What makes their state worse would be and is the absence of help. No one has stepped into the country to help. There are no international helpers or any government people. That is why life has become very tough for the locals. More than 80% of Haiti’s locals are poor. This is why they weep and await the inevitable famine that will be there in the homeland.
