Vegan Mom Indangered Sons Life By Feeds Him Only Nuts And Fruits

A vegan mom from Pennsylvania has been charged with child endangerment because investigators have found that her 11-months old son was only being fed nuts and fruit. As a result of this, he was allegedly malnourished.

The CBS Pittsburgh has reported that Elizabeth Haw, the mother who is aged 33 follows a strictly vegan diet. She also has been found to impose her extreme nutrition acts onto her family members too. The news station reports that her sister-in-law Brandy Hawk also recalls her saying that she was going to love on water and sunlight.

The sister-in-law Brandy noticed the 11-months old boy suffered from a sever rash and that he also had delayed motoring skills. Elizabeth just brushed off any concerns and denied if anything was wrong with her son at all. The CBS reports that she just blamed the rash as normal allergies.

Brandy and Jerry Hawk who is Elizabeth’s husband, did not buy the excuses. He took his son to the local Child Youth Services for examination.

Brandy recalls her brother saying that he needs to save his kids (the couple has three shared children)

The specialists found that the 11-month old son was suffering from developmental delays, which is why he was thriving to fail at certain levels. His fruit and nut only diet was resulting in physical deterioration.

According to the CBS Pittsburgh’s reports, the physicians have said that not treating the rash was just something too inhumane and that too by a mother. It had made the juvenile vulnerable to septic shock which is an acute deadly condition.

However, the 11-month old infant is improving living along with his father and two siblings at home. He is doing great and has just completely turned around while Elizabeth is free on her own.
