U.S. cancelled bilateral talks with Russia on Syrian ceasefire

Talks with Russia on Syrian ceasefire have stooped.

Syria, War, Victims, Refugees, Help, Not

In an important move, the U.S. government has cancelled the bilateral talks with Russia over the cease fire in Syria.

John Kirby, state department’s spokesperson announced the cancellation of talks in the briefing.

White House press secretary said in a statement that everybody’s patience with Russia has run out as Russia has lost the credibility by maintaining series of commitments without any indication to follow them.

Last week, the secretary of state, John Kerry has cautioned Russian to immediately stop the strikes on Aleppo and follow the ceasefire commitment.

The secretary of state also added in the statement that Russian and Syrian governments have not shown any willingness to follow the ceasefire accord and even their attacks on civilians and critical infrastructure such as humanitarian convoys and hospital have been further intensified.

U.S. has also called back their people from civilian and defense departments that were in Geneva to talk with Russians on joint implementation centre.

Some days ago, the reports of shocking civilian casualties since Russian started their air strikes, had also hit the media.

As far as neutral critics are concerned, they are blaming both parties for the failure of any comprehensive deal agreement and they don’t have adequate trust on each other’s intentions.

Joint implementation centre was the ray of hope for maintaining peace and immediate halt of air strikes. But it is again sabotaged by the lack of interest by both parties to share the military stage for Syria.
